... from an excursion into the Pinaleno Mountains

One weekend in October 2001, Steve, Rob, and myself took a long ride from Tucson to the Pinaleno Mountains. We did two hikes here: the first one started from Shannon campground and went towards the eastern end of the mountain range, where we had nice views into the direction of Safford and even hiked up to Heliograph Peak. The second hike started a few miles further up the road, where we explored some less travelled trails and enjoyed great views over southern Arizona.

The pictures here are selected to concentrate on the Fall colors of Aspen and other trees. Just klick on the thumbnails to get bigger versions of the images. These are about 100kb in size and fit on a 1024x768 screen.
